Dr. Seda Peksevim Featured in El Mercurio Inversiones

We are pleased to share that our founder and managing director, Dr. Seda Peksevim, was recently interviewed by El Mercurio Inversiones, Chile’s leading financial and investment publication. In this wide-ranging conversation, Dr. Peksevim offered insights on the future of pension systems in Latin America, with a particular focus on the Chilean reform toward generational (target-date) funds.

In the interview, Dr. Peksevim emphasized that age alone is not enough for effective pension fund design. She highlighted the importance of incorporating labor informality, wage history, contribution density, and human capital risk into default investment strategies to ensure sustainable and equitable retirement outcomes—especially in emerging economies.

Drawing on her international research and advisory work, Dr. Peksevim also stressed the need for data-driven approaches to portfolio construction and risk-based regulatory frameworks, as well as thoughtful governance mechanisms during implementation.
